Sin is this world’s biggest drug problem

Start here

In today’s world, and especially America, drug abuse is killing our youth. Having worked 14-plus year in the medical field as a lab tech, I have seen firsthand what damage this addiction has caused. People either don’t realize they have a drug problem, in that they think they can stop anytime they want to, they know they have a problem and can’t stop, or they know of their problem and just don’t care, as they live from ‘high-to-high’ or ‘fix-to-fix’. I say this because if you watch people in their day-to-day lives, they view their sins much the same way. Some think that since ‘God is love’, if they do enough good to override their bad, then heaven’s their home. Some know they’re sinners, but love it too much that they can’t stop it. Others know it just just don’t care. Look at the likes of Bin Laden, Hussein, Hitler, et al. These were wicked men who caused many to die cruel deaths at their hands.

The bible lays out in Romans 3:23, ‘for all did sin, and are come short of the glory of God –‘    If all have sinned, and many die lost, we then realize the problem sin causes in people’s lives, the havoc it wreaks on the soul of a lost man. When Adam sinned, he put this world into a downward spiral that is getting worse day-by-day. I can remember growing up and sleeping with my bedroom window open in the summer. Not so in today’s world. What people used to be ashamed of they proudly flaunt it now. You can see this in how homosexuality is being flaunted, how they try to shove it through our eyes, how they try to make it look right in ‘John Q. Public’s eyes’. But God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of this wicked sexual act. God laid it out plainly that it was an abomination in His sight, `And a man who lieth with a male as one lieth with a woman; abomination both of them have done; they are certainly put to death; their blood [is] on them.’(Lev. 20:13) But in today’s world, it’s acceptable, yea encouraged, to be gay. It’s ‘en vogue’ to be this way. How sad is this? Look, I am not saying they can not be saved, because Apostle Paul stated this in 1 Cor. 6, ‘have ye not known that the unrighteous the reign of God shall not inherit? be not led astray; neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, the reign of God shall inherit And certain of you were these! but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were declared righteous, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.’(vss 9-11) In this church at Corinth, it had been in disarray, where one was laying with his father’s wife(I’m assuming his step-mom?), yet, they were some there who had been saved from their homosexual lifestyle. So this shows that this can and will be forgiven by God.

I am not trying to focus solely on this lifestyle as stating it’s any more vile than the next sin, because God doesn’t categorize sins like we do. If we break one commandment, it’s the same as breaking all ten in His sight. I want to focus on this lifestyle because many don’t see at as being wrong. It takes God to remove the veil from their eyes, to break that stony heart they possess for them to see they’re wrong. It’s that way with drugs. Unless they appeal to a higher power, someone who knows how to handle their drug problem, they will likely die from this addiction. It’s the same with sin, they have to appeal to God, the Higher Power, who can handle their sin addiction/problem.
